About EarFix

What is EarFix and how does it work?

EarFix is a medical-grade silicone adhesive sticker that holds protruding or prominent ears closer to the head. You apply it behind the ear where it creates a gentle, invisible hold. No surgery, no pain, and results are instant. Each sticker lasts 3 to 7 days with proper application.

Is EarFix a permanent solution?

EarFix provides a temporary, non-surgical correction that lasts 3 to 7 days per sticker. It is not a permanent fix like otoplasty surgery. However, many customers prefer EarFix because there is zero downtime, no surgical risks, and you can stop using it anytime. For babies under 6 months, consistent use may help train ear cartilage into a flatter position over time since infant cartilage is still soft and moldable.

How is EarFix different from Otostick or other ear correctors?

EarFix uses a thinner, more flexible medical-grade silicone that conforms better to the natural curve behind your ear. Our adhesive is designed for 3 to 7 day wear (not just single-day use), and each pack includes 8 correctors. We also ship from the United States with free tracked shipping, so you receive your order in 2 to 5 business days instead of weeks.

Safety and Materials

What is EarFix made of?

EarFix is made of medical-grade silicone with a hypoallergenic, skin-safe adhesive. The same type of silicone is used in medical tapes, wound dressings, and scar treatment sheets. It contains no latex, no harsh chemicals, and is waterproof.

Is EarFix safe for babies?

Yes. EarFix Baby is specifically designed for infants aged 3 months to 3 years. The adhesive is hypoallergenic and gentle on delicate baby skin. For skin preparation on babies, use only water or a gentle baby cleanser. Never use alcohol-based prep on baby skin. We recommend limiting initial wear to 1 to 2 days to test your baby's skin sensitivity before extending to the full 3 to 7 day wear time.

Is EarFix safe for sensitive skin?

EarFix is hypoallergenic and safe for most skin types. If you have very sensitive skin, we recommend skipping alcohol-based skin prep and limiting wear to 8 to 10 hours for your first application. If no irritation occurs, gradually increase wear time. If you experience redness or irritation, remove the sticker and allow the area to recover before reapplying.

Can EarFix cause an allergic reaction?

Allergic reactions are rare because EarFix uses medical-grade, hypoallergenic silicone. However, if you have a known sensitivity to adhesive products, we recommend testing one sticker for 24 hours before committing to extended wear. Our 30-day money-back guarantee means you can return EarFix if it doesn't work for your skin.

Application and Wear

How do I apply EarFix?

Clean the skin behind your ear with an oil-free cleanser, let it dry completely (30 to 60 seconds), warm the sticker between your fingers for 10 to 15 seconds, position it behind your ear, and press firmly for a full 60 seconds. That 60-second firm press is the most important step. It activates the pressure-sensitive adhesive and is the difference between 2 to 3 hours of hold and 3+ days. For full instructions, see our complete application guide.

How long does each EarFix sticker last?

Each sticker lasts 3 to 7 days when applied correctly. The main factors that affect wear time are skin preparation (oil-free skin is essential), application pressure (60 seconds of firm pressure), and your activity level. Oily skin, heavy sweating, or frequent water exposure may shorten wear time.

Can I shower, swim, or exercise with EarFix on?

EarFix is water-resistant, so showering is fine. For swimming or intense exercise, we recommend applying a fresh sticker right before the activity using alcohol-based skin prep for maximum hold. Extended water immersion (long baths, prolonged swimming) may reduce adhesion over time.

Can I sleep with EarFix on?

Yes. EarFix is designed for continuous wear, including overnight. If you are a side sleeper, consider using a satin or silk pillowcase to reduce friction on the sticker edges.

Is EarFix visible when worn?

EarFix is transparent and sits behind the ear, making it virtually invisible. It is hidden by your ear itself and any hair around it. The sticker is thin and flexible enough that it won't be noticed even if someone looks directly at your ear from behind.

Can I wear EarFix with glasses, hearing aids, or earbuds?

Yes. EarFix sits behind the ear and does not interfere with glasses, sunglasses, hearing aids, masks, earbuds, or headphones. The sticker conforms flat to the skin so there is no bulk or interference.

Who Can Use EarFix

What ages is EarFix suitable for?

EarFix (standard) is designed for adults and children ages 3 and older. EarFix Baby is designed for infants aged 3 months to 3 years. There is no upper age limit for adults.

Does ear taping or correction work for adults?

Yes. EarFix works for adults of all ages. While adult ear cartilage is firmer than a child's, EarFix does not reshape the cartilage. It holds the ear in a flatter position for as long as the sticker is worn. The result is immediate and lasts the full wear time of each sticker (3 to 7 days).

Can EarFix fix one ear that sticks out more than the other?

Yes. Many people have asymmetric ears where one protrudes more than the other. You can use EarFix on just one ear or on both. Each pack contains 8 stickers, so you can use them as needed.

EarFix vs. Surgery

How much does ear pinning surgery (otoplasty) cost?

Otoplasty surgery typically costs $3,000 to $8,000 in the United States, depending on the surgeon and location. This does not include anesthesia fees, facility fees, or follow-up visits. Most insurance plans do not cover otoplasty for adults because it is considered cosmetic. By comparison, EarFix costs $19.99 per pack of 8 stickers and provides immediate results with zero recovery time.

Is EarFix a good alternative to ear pinning surgery?

For many people, yes. EarFix gives you the visual result of pinned-back ears without surgery, anesthesia, pain, scarring, or weeks of recovery. It is ideal if you want to see how you would look with corrected ears before committing to a permanent procedure, if you want a non-invasive solution you can start and stop anytime, or if the cost and risks of surgery are a concern. EarFix is not a replacement for surgery if you need structural correction for medical reasons.
